Dr. Jummai Umar-Ajijola

Jummai Zainab Umar-Ajijola, PhD, is the Managing Director of Trade Modernisation Project (TMP) Limited, a subsidiary of Bergmans, that is the Concessionaire implementing the $5 Billion Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Modernisation Project; a Presidential initiative to modernise the business processes as well as strengthen the capacity of NCS to undertake trade facilitation and border management.​Dr. Umar-Ajijola holds a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis and is an Organisation Effectiveness (OE), Strategy, Human Development, Technology, Recovery and Peacebuilding, Public Policy, and Wealth Generation expert with a global footprint. She has over three decades of professional experience across the Public and Private Sectors, International Development Organisations, and International Non-Governmental Organisations. Until recently she was the Chief Grand Visioner of The Business People (tbp) Limited, where for over a decade, she led a global, youthful and future-thinking organization that leveraged technology to expand the boundaries of productivity and inclusiveness. Prior to that, she held strategic and leadership positions at Microsoft, ActionAid Nigeria, UNESCO, and the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc.​Dr. Umar-Ajijola’s professional affiliations include Fellowship of several global institutes, including Academy of Engineering and Technology for the Developing World (AETDEW), Malaysia; Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria (ISMN); Institute of Corporate Administration Nigeria (ICAD) and; Chartered Institute of Human Capital Development of Nigeria (CIHCDN). She is an international speaker and sits on the faculty of several leadership institutes and Boards of charities, including the membership of the Advisory Council of the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC), Malaysia. Dr. Umar-Ajijola is a United Nations Education Scientific & Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Expert on Science, Technology and Innovation. She is also a European Union Expert on recovery and peace building.
